Music Awards, whose esteemed panel of judges
include Peter Gabriel, Ozzy Osbourne, McCoy Tyner, Paul
Oakenfold, Suzanne Vega, Cyndi Lauper, Marc Ribot, Buddy
Guy, David Grisman, Bebel Gilberto, Bill Frisell, Rob Wasserman
and FatBoy Slim. The album was selected as the Winner
of the Album - Jam category from the largest number
of entries the program has received to date, according to
award organizers Music Resource Group.

Mahal will be featured in the 2007 Musician's Atlas
and in the on-line
Jukebox, their CDs will be available for sale at BordersStores.com,
and their winning track, "The Shadow," will be
